5 reasons for choosing spray foam insulation

1. High R-value
R-value stands for the insulation capacity of a material. In other terms, it refers to the amount of heat that a material can resist. So when it comes to choosing insulation material for your home, it is best to choose something with high R-value.

– Open cell foam
– Closed cell foam

Choose closed-cell spray foam and it will create dense air/water vapour barrier. Most home owners don’t know how damaging condensation can be to their home. But this type of insulation can seal water vapour and prevent the damaging effects of condensation such as development of mould.
Different density of spray foams
There are 3 main types of spray foams based on their density. The choice of the type will depend on the kind of application and the area/surface.
– High density – choose high density foam if you need to have your roof and attic insulated and sealed.
– Medium density – use this type for interior walls and cavities.
– Low density – it is recommended not to use low density foams.
